A success story on a single page

I interview people often, and I can say with confidence: first impressions really do matter. Usually that first contact is your resume. It is your success story. I always try to give people room to open up, but a well-crafted self-presentation makes that process far easier.

So, is one A4 page a lot or a little? I’d say it’s exactly enough if you know how to express yourself. Let’s fill it with something meaningful.

What matters in a resume?

   Structure and clarity — use a clear structure and simple wording.

   Achievements backed by facts — fewer generalities, more specifics and tangible results.

   Relevance — show the skills and qualities that matter for this role and this company.

I’d suggest starting with a simple but excellent React template by Danil Sitdikov. I adapted it a bit for myself. Here’s my version and Danil’s version — pick whichever suits you.
